EAP Malta International 2025 – A Landmark Success for Pembroke Athleta

The 6th Edition of the EAP Malta International – WACT Challenger Meeting, held on 14 June 2025 at the Matthew Micallef St John Stadium, proved to be the most successful edition yet — reinforcing Malta’s growing reputation on the World Athletics Continental Tour (Challenger) circuit
With over 150 international athletes from 34 countries, including Olympians and national record holders, the meet produced seven new meeting records, featuring standout performances such as:
Guy Maganga Gorra (Gabon) – Men’s 100m in 10.38s and 200m in 20.60s
Sina Mayer (Germany) – Women’s 100m in 11.20s
Keenan Blake (Netherlands) – Men’s 400m in 45.91s
Tetiana Melnyk (Ukraine) – Women’s 400m in 53.34s
Dániel Huller (Hungary) – Men’s 800m in 1:48.51
Olgierd Michniewski (Poland) – Men’s 110m hurdles in 13.72s
Viktoriia Baranivska (Ukraine) – Women’s triple jump at 13.58m
Thanks to these exceptional performances, along with the atmosphere and organisation, the event has firmly placed Malta on the athletics map.
