The European Kids Athletics Games (EKAG) 2024 in Brno, Czech Republic, saw Pembroke athletes deliver remarkable performances that underscored their talent, determination, and competitive spirit. On the first day of the competition, Pembroke's sprint stars set the tone for a successful outing. In the 60m sprints, Jamie Borg dazzled in the Boys' 2012 category, securing a silver medal in the A Final with a new personal best of 8.27 seconds. His teammate, Kristina Azzopardi, showcased her speed and resilience in the Girls' 2010 category, earning a bronze medal with a time of 8.17 seconds. The second day of the competition brought continued success for Pembroke athletes, particularly in the 300m events. Jack Borg Pullicino won a bronze medal in the Boys' 2010 300m race with a personal best of 38.05 seconds, demonstrating his prowess in mid-distance running. Meanwhile, Nick Bonett broke the Boys' 2009 300m national record with an impressive time of 35.82 seconds, winning his heat and showcasing his exceptional talent.
