Pembroke Athleta’s Luke Micallef and Lisa Bezzina continued their winning streak, claiming their second consecutive victories in the A.M. Road Running Series. This time, the duo triumphed in the 5km races held on the Ta’ Xbiex route, solidifying their lead at the top of the individual male and female standings.
In the men’s race, Luke Micallef emerged victorious in a closely contested battle, crossing the finish line in an impressive 14:57. On the women’s side, Lisa Bezzina delivered another commanding performance, securing first place with a time of 18:33.
The Pembroke Ladies team shone once again, with three athletes finishing among the top positions:
Rosalie Borg claimed second place in 18:46,
Ritianne Zammit secured fourth place in 19:47,
Danica Bonello Spiteri contributed a strong effort, finishing 16th overall.
In the men’s category, Mark Herrera placed 11th overall, while other Pembroke Athleta athletes including Chris Bezzina, David Herrera, Brian Magri, Nicholas Galea Testaferrata, and Robert Fenech proudly represented the club.
