Pembroke Athleta's long-distance runners, Luke Micallef and Lisa Bezzina, secured top honors in the first 10k race of the A.M. Road Running League Series held this past Saturday!
The Europort Races for Mental Wellbeing, held in the Ta' Qali area, saw Micallef dominate the men's race with a time of 31 minutes and 21 seconds. Following closely behind were Dillon Cassar (MEL) and Aidan Tanti (EEC). Lisa Bezzina continued the winning streak for Pembroke Athleta, conquering the women's 10k race in 40 minutes and 35 seconds. Josann Attard Pulis (BLA) and Rosalie Borg (PEM) secured the second and third-place finishes, respectively.
While Pembroke boasts individual victories, Team Mellieħa currently leads the Men's Team Classification. However, the Pembroke women are off to a strong start, taking the early lead in the Women's Table.

The Europort Races also highlighted the talent of Pembroke's younger athletes. The club dominated the youth categories, taking first place in most of the 3k and 2k races for both boys and girls.
