This weekend, Malta takes centre stage in EAP as Pembroke Athleta Athletics & Triathlon Club hosts the highly anticipated 34th Events for Athletics Promotion (EAP) Annual Convention. This event, a first for Pembroke Athleta since joining the EAP Circuit in 2018, underscores Malta’s growing influence on the EAP scene and sets the stage for major advancements within the circuit.
Running from Friday, 8th November, through Sunday, 10th November 2024, the convention will see leading figures from the EAP’s esteemed network gather in Malta to discuss, strategise, and innovate. Among the notable attendees are EAP President Pablo Cassina, Vice President Giorgio Ferrando, General Secretary Dr. Emanuele Biancarosa, and Hon. Treasurer Marco Colavitti, who will join top-level delegations from European athletics clubs and federations including Biella (ITA), Budapest (HUN), Celle Ligure (ITA), Geneva (SUI), Nivelles (BEL), Palafrugell (ESP), San Vito al Tagliamento (ITA), Sicily (ITA), Villa Manin (ITA), and host club Pembroke Athletics (MLT).
As part of its forward-looking agenda, the convention will welcome representatives from Glasgow (SCO) and Heves (HUN), cities actively vying for membership in the EAP Circuit from 2025 onward. This interest underscores the circuit's dynamic growth and the expanding footprint of EAP’s influence across Europe.
This landmark event, organised by Pembroke Athleta Athletics & Triathlon Club with support from Visit Malta, is set to redefine the EAP Circuit’s direction, paving the way for exciting developments that will enrich the athletics landscape.
