Pembroke Athleta Athletic Shines at the 2026 Junior Championships with 76-Medal Haul

Pembroke Athleta Athletics Club once again confirmed its status as one of Malta’s leading athletics clubs following a sensational performance at the 2026 Athletics Malta Junior Championships.

Over an exciting and highly competitive weekend, Pembroke’s athletes produced an outstanding display of talent, determination, and team spirit, finishing the championships with an incredible total of 76 medals — made up of 33 gold, 23 silver, and 20 bronze medals.

The championships saw Pembroke athletes excel across a wide range of disciplines, including sprints, middle-distance events, relays, jumps, hurdles, and throws. The strong performances reflected not only the athletes’ dedication and hard work, but also the club’s continuous commitment towards athlete development and sporting excellence.

Beyond the medal tally, the championships were another clear demonstration of the positive environment and strong sporting culture being built within the club. Athletes supported one another throughout the competition, proudly representing Pembroke with passion, discipline, and sportsmanship.

These achievements would not have been possible without the continuous dedication of the club’s coaches, officials, volunteers, helpers, and parents, whose commitment plays a vital role in the growth and success of the athletes both on and off the track.

Pembroke Athleta Athletics Club would like to congratulate all participating athletes for their remarkable performances and for representing the club with pride throughout the championships.

Well done to all athletes, coaches, officials, helpers, and supporters — the entire Pembroke family is extremely proud of you all.
